Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the ElementVana iOS app and the elementvana.com website (the “Services”) handle information. These pages are operated by the operator of elementvana.com. “We,” “us,” and “our” refer to the operator of elementvana.com.

This page is a consumer-facing description for App Store and website use. It is not legal advice and has not been certified by counsel for every jurisdiction.

1. Who this applies to

This Policy applies to visitors of elementvana.com and users of the ElementVana iOS app. Apple has its own privacy practices for App Store purchases and Apple ID.

2. No ElementVana account

ElementVana does not require you to create an ElementVana account, email, or password on our servers. We do not operate an ElementVana backend that stores your atlas, My Atlas saves, or Ask questions for cloud inference. There is no ElementVana iCloud or Continuity in this version.

3. Information on your device

Depending on the features you use, the app may store on your iPhone:

• My Atlas saves (nodes you pin on this device)
• Map and appearance preferences
• Ask questions you type, and retrieved paths shown from the on-device catalog
• Subscription entitlement signals from Apple needed to unlock Pro

ElementVana does not use HealthKit. Body Collection copy is educational chemistry, not health records. ElementVana does not request GPS. There is no live sky, observer location, or natal birth data in this app.

4. How we use information

We use information to:

• Provide the atlas, Journeys, Field Guides, Ask retrieve-and-route, and related features on your device
• Remember preferences you set in the app
• Respond to support emails you send us
• Unlock Pro features after Apple confirms a subscription
• Comply with law and enforce these terms and Apple’s Standard EULA

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your atlas activity for third-party advertising. We do not use an advertising identifier.

5. On-device Ask

Ask retrieves a verified path from the on-device catalog and flies the map. It does not chat and it does not invent chemistry. Hazardous how-tos are refused. Questions and retrieved paths stay on your device. They are not uploaded to an ElementVana server. There is no ElementVana-operated AI backend in this version.

6. No iCloud in this version

Free and Pro use stay on this iPhone. There is no private iCloud Continuity, CloudKit container, or multi-device atlas sync in this version. Restore purchases (Apple ID / StoreKit) is separate from local My Atlas saves. A reinstall does not restore local-only data.

7. Purchases (StoreKit)

Optional Pro is an auto-renewable subscription processed by Apple. We receive limited purchase or entitlement signals needed to unlock paid features (for example, subscription status). We do not receive your full payment card number. Apple’s privacy policy applies to payment data.

8. Analytics

ElementVana does not send usage analytics to an ElementVana server. We do not operate a third-party product-analytics SDK in the app. If Apple shares crash or diagnostic data with us under your device settings, we may use that to fix bugs. The marketing website may keep standard hosting logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and basic operations. If we add website analytics or cookies later, we will update this Policy and, where required, provide consent controls.

9. Support email

If you email support@elementvana.com, we receive the address and message you send (and any attachments) so we can reply. Include your iOS version and what you were trying to do. Do not send health information or other sensitive content you would not want in an email inbox.

10. Website

elementvana.com is a marketing and legal site. It does not host your in-app atlas. Hosting logs may include IP address, user agent, and requested URLs.

11. Sharing

We share information only when:

• You choose to share (for example, the system share sheet for a card you export)
• Apple processes purchases or device services you enable
• A service provider assists website hosting or email under confidentiality obligations
• Required by law, legal process, or to protect rights and safety
• In a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer (with notice where required)

12. Retention

Data you store in the app generally remains until you delete it or uninstall the app. Support emails are retained as long as needed to resolve your request and meet legal obligations.

13. Children

The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

14. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to a local-first app and a marketing website. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. Use a device passcode and keep your OS up to date.

15. Your choices and rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, or to object to certain processing. For app data on your device, you can clear My Atlas saves or uninstall. For support-related data or other requests, email support@elementvana.com. You may also adjust platform privacy settings (analytics, App Tracking) on your device.

16. International users

If you access the Services from outside the country where the Services are operated, your information may be processed where we or our providers operate, subject to applicable law.

17. Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, provide additional notice where appropriate.
